Nothing sets a person off like waffles with whipped cream and strawberries.

Hopefully not as terrible, horrible, no good and very bad as Alexander’s day.

Yeah — it’s awfully FRUSTRATING when there’s NOTHING to complain about on those days when you wake up cranky!

It’s kinda like a migraine headache: you can tell it’s coming, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. No more than you can stop a lava flow by sticking your thumb into the mouth of a volcano…. Alice, just let it out; get it over with; and accept your inevitable discipline.

Actually it’s going to be a good day Alice.

Alice just needs to learn (someday, probably not soon) that it’s not going to happen that way..nothing is.

As a mother of three young-uns, I don’t think I’ve EVER been chipper about someone who is “already awake!” (ie up earlier than usual). Has Madeline lost her mind??
