Such power you have, Alice!

A bit of good news, fellow “Cul de Sac” commenters! Recently I wrote GoComics.com and asked whether comments on “Cul de Sac” would be allowed when the “Classic Cul de Sac” starts. The regular “Cul de Sac” ends when Richard Thompson retires on September 23rd. GoGomic Support replied, “As far as I know, comments will still be allowed when we rerun the Cul de Sac Classics..” You can read about his retirement at http://www.kansascity.com/2012/08/17/3767240/parkinsons-forces-creator-of-cul.html

I had noted that other “classic” comics, including “Peanuts” and “Calvin and Hobbes” do not have commentary, and was concerned that I would lose contact with the only people I know of who like “Cul de Sac” and Richard Thompson. Of course, many of you comment on other strips, but it’s hard to keep track of who is who. None of the people I know elsewhere are the least bit interested – their eyes glaze over big time if the subject is brought up.

I look forward to continued association with fellow “Cul de Sac” aficionados.

Everything seems to come too quickly. I am very glad they are continuing Cul de Sac.

I love this comic…..definitely one of the best around. I hate to hear about Mr. Thompson’s health & wish him all the best. Will keep him & his family in my prayers. Thank you Mr. Thompson for sharing your humor & giving us something to look forward to each day. (((Hugs)))

@Captain Kiddeo After Phil Frank left Elderberries he did a strip here in San Francisco called Farley. It was a great strip, mostly about local stuff but it had his same humor. It was a sad day when he passed

You can comment to Mr. McEldowney by Emailing his web site, or by writing a letter to the editor of a print paper. He does not appreciate religious, political, or personal rants and raves by anonymous posters.

Gokie5 I would write gocomics again and tell them what is happening. For all the problems this site has at times, your problem is the first I have EVER heard of.

Just got back from the beach. I felt the same.

Richard sure seems in fine form lately with these recent toons (a last hurrah?). Have to love today’s; I was never such a clever mom.

Thanks for comments and feedback, bjy, lin, DAZZ, and cookies. Nice to hobnob with people who have similar interests. I’ll fer sure ask GoComics about that. Maybe because I’m not a paying member?

I had the exact same reaction when I heard that the strip was ending. Hope I didn’t scare it away early….. :)
