You love Alice that much, do you, Dill? Twenty years is a long time, though, in preschoolers’/kindergarteners’ POV.

not really when i was 5 years old( not that different from 4 ) i married some girl . i think dills talk of marriage is just play

oh by the way just for you people who read everything literally . it was just kid make believe . i think she was also a pirate queen and i was a giant flying squirrel as well

Dill loves Alice! And Alice likes the card he made for her! What’s twenty years, give or take?

It’s the love bug!

I find it hard to believe that Bill really said “twenty years”. It would be more like “in five or six years, when we are all grown up…”

Love it! Wish I would have had a friend like this.

Dil is a strange child, but we can tell he’s an “oops” kid. His older brothers range from 16 to over 20. When you have someone that much younger than his siblings, they pick up stuff and understand things more than their peers. So Dil may have an older sibling or cousin in their early 20’s who is getting ready to marry. (No, not an oops myself, went to school with a few “oops” babies, 2nd family kids and ’we’re young still, lets have a couple more now that set one is in high school’). They were a little more world wise rhan the rest of us.

I predict a great future in art for Dill. His drawing of Alice is amazingly accurate for a 4-year-old.
