Petey: Hey- what's that? Mom: We ran out of regular napkins. That's left over from your fourth birthday party! It's got Klanky Robot on it. You used to love him! We've got almost 500 of those left! Petey: But now I hate Klanky Robot! I can't stand to look at him! Petey: He' an assault on my dignity! A slap to my pride! Mom: PETEY. Petey: No! The very sight of Klanky Robot disgusts me profoundly! Petey: ARRRHRRRAHAGH! Mom: Petey! Don't you dare go chewing your arm off! You're too old for that! Beni: Your brother chewed his foot off? Alice: Well, he tried to. Dill: I like Klanky Robot! He taught me everything I know!
Petey’s changing expressions (and color) are amazing, priceless! Poor Madeline! How does Mom cope with a Petey on the one hand and an Alice on the other? —Bless her and all mothers on this Mother’s Day….
