It’s the sink that is shaped like a monkey, not the stain. If it was the stain that was shaped like a monkey, it would have said, “There’s a stain shaped like a monkey in the sink.”
I’m glad Alice was able to clarify the monkey shaped confusion! I won’t fault Petey for the English slip. I do have to say I was impressed the other day when Alices uni-brow friend used the word “simultaneously”-then proceeded to come up with “100:99”.

I have never seen a sink shaped like a monkey.

“I like the monkey stain, but I hate the spider pipes.” Now there’s a line I’ll bet mom never thought she’d hear.

Once again, 10 years ago, a blog entry referenced this strip
http://richardspooralmanac.blogspot.com/2009/01/booboo-revealed.html
That same day, Richard posted a another technical blog entry:
http://richardspooralmanac.blogspot.com/2009/01/more-late-night-nib-talk-my-new.html
in which he expounded at length about a primary tool of his craft. If its earlier post link doesn’t work for you, that was

partly repeated from

Don’t forget the missing little tiles on the floors that looked like faces…

Considering Blisshaven used to be a filling station, that bathroom looks pretty good.

I remember my inner Petey getting lost looking at the farscapes of the troweled stucco work of my childhood home.

A more pertinent question is why girls and boys were using the same bathroom (back in those times anyway).

seems blisshaven has been ahead of the curve with unisex bathrooms.
