Many cartoons live on after the passing of the originator of the strip. I wonder why there were no provisions to continue this one? Or perhaps the genius of Mr. Thomas couldn’t be replicated? This one is wonderful – Mr. Thomas’s idea and the guest artist “just” provided the drawing? Either way: Oh so charming!
Mmm. I dunno. In some strips, Blisshaven as seen from the outside is a tiny cottage that hardly can have more than one room. And certainly no second storey. Plus, where does Miss Bliss go when she’s not “around”?
Escape from Alcatraz was difficult. Escape from Blisshaven at naptime was not so hard for Alice. But stealing the kiddie car could have more serious consequences….
Looks as if the artist guessed what the kiddie car is, whereas we’ve seen the kids on it, and it’s an old-fashioned scooter sort of thing with a plank to sit on and a bar to steer with.

“At four years old, Alice commits her first successful heist…” reads the opening paragraph of Alice’s future bio.
