A lot of mystery series reach that point….call it the “Jessica Fletcher serial killer point” when everyone wonders why there is anyone at all left alive in the town where the series is set.

In the Annotated Cul-de-Sac, Thompson makes mention that Lemony Snicket ( remember that name?) and his Series of Unfortunate Events was his inspiration for Oswaldo Twee. Richard Thompson was a genius.

From the titles, Mr. Twee hates kids……poisoned pacifier ????

I really enjoyed book XXXII. Fontanelle and the House with the Unprotected Electrical Outlets.

Titles similar to Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events”.

That Risky Rattle looks really risky, keep the Poisoned Pacifier at arm’s length and the Deadly Diaper looks like it’s going to blow any second, put the safety pin back in.
