Two of the funniest blackout sketches I ever saw on “Laugh-In” (boy, am I dating myself) you could never get on TV today. They weren’t any more than ten seconds long each. But today they’d cause ten days of assassination mode coverage on certain cable news channels.
Even if I was sometimes offended, I prefered the times before PC (AND PC is never even haded across the board. I’m very glad that I no longer have to accept (as a woman) that NOW represents me, any more than (as a senior) I have to accept AARP; I joined an alternate group and still don’t use even them for my insurance etc.
