Stephano Phineas Orrin Rodriguez Kevorkian (Sprok’s acronymic name as mentioned on the 19 November 2013 strip) must join the vegetarian Thanksgiving dinner with Vince of “Zack Hill.”
@Tony, neither! I will continue to be vegetarian (and truly glad I don’t have to make a Holiday meal this year); I’ll have chili or bean salad. I love my Cuban black beans (always meatless) with yams, but usually had them with slices of turkey.
When not doing vegetarian, I bought and roasted good free-range breasts only (with fresh herbs from the garden and some sacrificial spare carrots and onions inside), then I carved it (giving the skin to the birds outside) and sliced it up for consuming within 6 weeks. Turkey IS one of the healthier meats and I did not confine that to one Holiday.
White and dark please. We also always have the other white meat (a roasted pork loin) and the other dark meat (bbq’d brisket). It’s sort of a Texas tradition to chow down at Thanksgiving time . . . and I’m thankful for living in Texas.
I love it! I’m also a vegetarian and folks will frequently say, “But you do eat chicken, don’t you?” "Only if you planted the eggs and they sprouted on their own.

Dark meat has a richer flavor. White meat gives me the hiccups.

White meat, nestled next to a giant mound of the stuffing we discussed at length yesterday.

How long is this boring character going to stay in this strip? I may have to delete from my favorites until then.

White meat. I’ve been known to throw away the dark meat on occasion.
