Once I overheard a ‘conversation’: Nurse (shouting very loudly) “In half an hour the hearing aid audiologist will be here for you!”- Old Lady (shouting as well): “What?”
It must be a horrible experience to lose ones hearing. Am not looking forward to this point. Needing glasses is bad enough.
I have over the counter hearing aids from Sony, they’re less expensive than prescription aids, recharge like AirPods, Ivan take phone calls on them and are “tuneable” on the app. I don’t need them all the time, usually when there is a lot of background noise, like a restaurant. They have helped quite a bit. I’ll probably need them more as time goes on, because I still haven’t lowered my music volume, AC/DC, Metallica, Sabbath, etc… CANNOT be played at 3. It must be 11 !
