When I was working as a pretreatment plant operator we had two 30,000 gallon storage tanks, the tanks would fill up and it was our job to run it out through the pretreatment plant and clean the water up enough for release into the sewage system* so in a demented way, we had reverse optimism, on a good day the tanks were half empty, on a bad day, they were half full.
