The new trend these days is for ice cream companies (Breyers and Friendly’s are two of them) to put out something called ‘Frozen Dairy Dessert’. These have all sorts of ingredients that you should never see in ice cream (there were beets in one of the Friendly’s varieties). What they do not have in them is cream. Just because it has a famous name on the label, do not assume that it is ice cream.
I pay attention to the price per ounce, because the Shrink Ray has been used on EVERYTHING. As for the Slack Fill scam, I’ve actually refused to buy products when I can pick it up, shake it, and hear stuff rattling around in the box. It’s irritating.

I prefer self-made and our ice cream parlor.

You can’t even buy a half gallon of ice cream at the grocery store. It’s 1.5 quarts. A lot of the canned veggies are 15 and 15.5 ounces instead of 16.

Shrink Ray or Slack Fill? Looks like both.
