I thought that was the job of that maddening little paper-clip thingie with big eyes that pops up on your screen, all elbows and familiarity.

Immanuel Kant proved “God” dead. Scared Dr. F.W. Nietzsche into thinking that people would be thrown out of their religion into despair. He feared for a rampant growth in nihilism followed by mass suicide. He didn’t know the tenacity of the average person to such things. Such a thing did not happen. (Evolution is strong in us.)

So Horace’s muse is yellow birdie? Like Jiminy Cricket! Or rather whatever the name of that canary is. All part of the Houyhnhnm’s direct connexion to the Primal Sylvan of Nature. They are the opposite of us and in a positive way. Where we can ignore nature they are locked into it. Why they don’t destroy nature to have a civilization. Why they don’t like most of us. We remind them of their draft animals they call “Yahoo”. Those that don’t are still too much like them and when conditions change become them all too easily. Horace is an exception.

The real reason Immanuel Cant got nowhere was his impenetrable jargon.

I have it on good authority that if he couldn’t, it was because he was drunk most of the time. Mildly NSFW, I suppose.

“Those who do not rewrite history are doomed to repeat it,” or something like that.

Emmanuel Kant was a great Pissant, who was very rarely sober…:-)
