I worked (briefly) at a phone survey place conducting such surveys, and I remember being assigned a project conducting surveys with various dentists…but I couldn’t ever get through to them, because whenever I called, they were always legitimately preoccupied with something else and couldn’t come to the phone, and their assistant (if I got that, sometimes it was automated) couldn’t do the survey for them. Some dentists weren’t even in the office at the moment because I happened to call in time for their routine break or meeting or whatever. It appeared the times my place of work had me calling always appeared to be a bad one.
So I’m sort of envious that Horace is actually getting any results at all for his surveys.
‘Nice’ was a forbidden word in classes taught by a Milwaukee nun in the 1970’s and if you used it in a composition your grade got lowered. Thus, the phrase ‘cruelty free’ was developed to replace ‘nice’.

And now, to prepare a clickbait article on that titled 4 out of 5 dentists agree about this thing!

Did you enjoy today’s strip? Would you recommend it to a friend? Was this survey conducted in a professional manner?

I’m not even a dentist and I find the current rage for feedback insanely disruptive.

Now, the dentists are fighting back by making us take surveys. I had a visit on Monday and an approval survey was in my inbox before I got home.
