Well, at least it’s a bit saver than a DIY tornado-kit with water addition required…

I think I could make a really clear block of ice large enough to carve, although I’ve only made cubes and spheres for drinks up to now.

Just add water? Freeze (or use frozen water) should be in the directions somewhere.

At first I read the first panel as a “Dry ice sculpture kit.” But it works the same.

How to make an ice sculpture of Horace:

    1. Get a large block of ice.

    2. Chip away everything that doesn’t look like Horace.

    3. Voila.

I saw a guy make an ice sculpture starting with a huge block of ice. His first tool was a chainsaw.

Like the old Steven Wright joke: “I bought some instant water but I didn’t know what to add.”

One cold February, the local theater people made beautiful ice lanterns, starting with water-filled balloons. These were put out to freeze, the rubber was peeled away, and a candle placed inside, as in a jack-o-lantern.
