You know, I adore this strip. It’s hilarious, and I love the way that it highlights just how fun and lively it can be to be a senior unlike today’s standard perception. ( I know I’m not saying this very well. )But I had to say something about the lonely old man part. Recently, I had to spend some time in a nursing home because I required extended care for a total knee replacement and the hospital had no room to keep me. I got a front row seat on what it is truly like to be old, lonely, and sad. It is a crying shame the way many of our seniors are treated. This guy is quite lucky that he has a pal to chat with on his bench each day.
