Green bean casserole is old news. We need a new Thanksgiving green veggie! The way my meal plans are going… how about Avocado? Thick slice of tomato, avocado, swiss cheese, slivers of turkey, all on a nice fluffy bagel! ;)
At a place I worked, there was a list on the board to write what you were bringing to the department holiday dinner. One tech wrote “ADGBC”. We asked what that was, and he replied “Anothe Damned Green Bean Casserole”.

I grew up in Sacramento, CA—rich agricultural land—we ate fresh veggies & no foolish casseroles or candied starches.
