Panel 3 : Is that Nothing Yonson’s brother doing Security for the Embassy ?
The art in the Sunday pages happily has a more polished look yet daily strips continue to appear like rough penciling (Locher), being inked over with little change (Brozman) and passed off as finished art.
Just as it was with Kilian, Locher is the Senior Partner (also signing his name to the strip), and I believe *he* (?) cuts the final proofs sent to TMS, implicitly approving it.
It’s really identifying who has the final responsibility. In the earlier partnership when Kilian obviously goofed (e.g. - on 4 occasions forgetting to “name” the main villain) - Locher the senior practioner never appeared to notice it, and seemingly skedaddled away from the responsibility, leaving this reader with the “impression” that it wasn’t his, Locher’s “call” or obligation - so, let it go.
But as I’ve noted above (in both cases) the final product carries (carried) his “approving” signature.
