Dit dit dit dah, Das Normandie
Tracy seeks derelict camaraderie
From hardscrabble Dubuque he does hail
Man this plot is a colossal fail
Tracy is such a master of disguise
No-one he meets will ever be wise
His cover story is beyond belief
It is nothing more than comic relief
The tears we shed do not come from laughs
But from this strips oh so many gaffes
Insipid in its delivery, absurd in its conception
Though there are those who don’t share my perception
Staggering, stumbling, twisting and turning
The strip leaves us all with a great yearning
It creates a void that can never be filled
Our ardor for it long has go has been chilled.
Thanks you, P.P., Bill T., Beefeater, Fusnr, for your very kind comments.
Sydney, thanks, but I am not worthy of such a lofty title.
