Sam, you better do something nice for Pouch after you find Tracy.

Go Team Tracy! It’s great to see Sam in a major role in the strip. With Pouch’s reintroduction to the story the plot thickens. Good to see old and new faces in the story line. This team is a real credit to the Gould legacy.

Sam’s no Hulk Hogan, but would YOU want to mess with him right now? Pouch, be glad he didn’t punch you “just because.”

It seems that lately Pouch has been more of a friend to the police than a foe. I hope that Sam does reward him after they rescue Tracy.

Pouch is reluctant, perhaps, but he has delivered grade-A info, just what Sam needs to bust this case wide open. Later on, maybe there will be time to thank him appropriately….

Now Sam needs to call in Fritz Ann and they both go save Macy.

Equipment bought and set up and ambulance stolen days before Tracy shot and how did they know when and where to pick him up? Was Jean Dixon mixed up in this?

Boy, that was easy. I wonder if Pouch has a hidden motivation for giving Sam that info.

The entire exchange seems too easy. Surly the MCS is not just going to the address Sam got and find Tracy. There must be more to this. Or maybe this little kidnapping is just the tip of the iceberg for the story that will lead us back to MM?

They were getting the hospital equipment on the quiet? How quiet could they have been if Pouch knows their delivery address and their profession?

A cameo from Frizzletop and now a cameo from Pouch, both conviently having inside information on Stiletta and company. Along with Little Faces’ info from the previous story, thank God Chester Gould never orginally killed them off.

Everybody else is falling all over themselves to praise this strip but I’m with Steven—-the whole thing is wayyyy too easy—info falls out of the sky (or in this case out of Pouch’s mouth), characters suddenly materialize to provide important plot points….what happened to the detection in Dick Tracy?

Sure the art’s great, but there’s postage due on these plots…btw exactly what was Mr Crime’s “crime” again? I know there was a lotta shoot me up back in July—-because he was…stealing…from a record colector …..?

Thought maybe they were planing a drive by in the leg and have ambulance waiting around the corner.

Trivia: Pouch’s real name is Paul Pooch.

I’d like to see a death trap at that address. Sam survives but finds a clue they take back to the lab. Pouch realizes his gig as bad information informant is over and joins up with the next criminal gang, who after a double cross he also snuffs out in spectacular fashion.

Punch line: Sam rescues Tracy; they throw baddies in jail. Pouch hands Sam one balloon.

I don’t care how and why the events take place the way they do. I find DT to be very enjoyable without second guessing. It’s not real life… it’s entertainment… a comic strip. If I want realism, I can go outside and see realism.

To all the papers that had dropped Tracy due to the failings of Locher, they should all take back DT. The strip has been spectacular. Write to your editor.
