From Wikipedia: Phishing is attempting to acquire information (and sometimes, indirectly, money) such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Communications purporting to be from popular social web sites, auction sites, online payment processors or IT administrators are commonly used to lure the unsuspecting public. Phishing emails may contain links to websites that are infected with malware. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail spoofing or instant messaging, and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one.
Phishface runs a phishing racket from a subterranean (subaquatic?) hideout beneath the city aquarium! —And with a full electronics set-up, including computers and servers! How do these mad-scientist types get these elaborate set-ups without anyone ever noticing? Arthur Curry paid the price when he somehow learned of it; yet he was head of the aquarium, for heaven’s sake!
SEVENTEEN?!?!?! CURSES!! FOILED AGAIN!!! lol! wow, all this from underneath an aquarium huh? wonder if “Johnny Law” ever retrieved the barracuda from Panda’s place and transferred it to phishface’s aquarium… that would be a neat twist lol. and to all you doubters… YES! honeymoon and aster get tied into the new storyline… i bet junior and sparkle’s credit card bills are gonna go thru the ROOF in a matter of days! lol! btw.. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS JOE TRACY?!??!
Could Phishface be an online predator or running a clearinghouse for ill-gotten personal banking information and credit card account swiping? In phishig scemes “baits” are used in hopes that the potential victim will “bite” by clicking a link or attachment and their financial information and passwords can be stolen."
@Gocomics, it would be helpful if replies appeared right under the original comment and slightly indented. Many news sites do this. As it is, replies don’t make sense unless you go back and look for the original, or can remember eveyone’s minker and what they said.
Since the Internet is World-wide, how involved would a city police force be in a giant phishing scam? I suppose individuals who have been affected would contact their local police as a first step. But this would probably need some sort of National clearinghouse, and ties to international police agencies. At least, the FBI would be involved, as they actually were recently when they shut down that phony ISP scam.Tracy and Company will probably come into this by the “back door” – they are looking for whoever killed Mr. Curry. Sometimes motive for what appears to be a local crime will lead the police to something much bigger.

Did anyone mention that “chum” is bloody fish parts used to attract fish or sharks in order to catch them?
trimguy about 12 years ago
At the risk of being nit-picky, it’s computer disk (not disc). Then again, Chum may not know any better.
