Good morning, VB. I agree, it’s high time for another appearance by Moon Maid!

Now that’t going out in true Gould style.

A classic Gould villain gone for good. How many does this make now for our DT team? (Flyface & the Fifth come to mind due to a Curtis & Staton story, plus many “off-screen” like Thistle Dew & Wormy).

If they keep x’ing out the villains this way there’s not going to be many left. Even with the ones they resurrect. I do hope their as good at inventing new ones as they are at eliminating old ones.

Quite a memorable story from Team Tracy. After the light-hearted Phishface tale, a gritty, violent revenge story in which Measles meets his inevitible end.Well done.

Assuming this IS the end for Measles, it’s certainly been an entertaining story.

I found a treasure at a local college I’m taking a class at. A full collection of graphic novels featuring Dick Tracy. Still working my way through them. <3 <3 <3

Is it not procedure to kick the gun out of his hand in case he does revive?

Measles took himself out by his vices and excesses. unrepentant to the end. This world shall not miss him much, if at all.

Remove it, but not kick it. You have no control of the muzzle if you kick it away, and criminals are not known for proper weapon maintenance, and kicking the weapon could cause a unwanted discharge.

Richard would secure and clear the gun, while Sam covers him. The fire can wait until the gun is secured, and Measeles is cuffed. He may be dead, and then again, he may not.

Don’t forget to add the adult Themesong to the list of past characters brought back!

I’m thinking he might pop up with one last gasp and get off a few rounds.

Just a guess here that the pain patches worked? Chewing on them caused them to release their medication at once. Problem: While it relieves pain quickly, it also overwhelms the body and the dose that cures and the dose that kills is close to the same if you do that.

And now I want Moon Maid.

Measles’ position reminds me of Pruneface’s when he was caught by Tracy, nearly frozen to death…

What’s Sam doing carrying a fire extinguisher out there instead of a Sig Sauer? Oh well! Might as well put it to good use, Sam. Follow the three easy steps: (1) insert nozzle (2) pull trigger (3) tie string onto foot and take your new Measles balloon to Fritz Ann for Show ’n Tell.

Yeah, despite the conflagration pain inflicted on Measles, he certainly held on to that gun!

Where did Tracy get the fire extinguisher? In his pocket?

I think Moon Maid was just a Red Herring!

Now I see Sam has the fire extinguisher in the first panel also. It’s also in the November 5 strip at Gravel Gertie’s. Cleverly planned this strip is.

I’m hoping newspaper accounts of Wormy’s off-screen demise are woefully inaccurate. Too good a villain to die that way.

I dunno. The patches could’ve killed him, but I’m looking at his left hand supporting his right forearm, and I’m wondering . . .

So true that the new team has brought about some fine new villains. I can’t wait to see them bring out their first new protagonists! I doubt they could ever top the Plenty family though :)

I agree, approach with caution. Unlike in the house when Tracy was trying to put out the fire on Measles while the latter was still holding his gun. 8-)

I’ve been told that postmortem twitching is quite common, but only while the body is still warm.-Anyone know if this is true?

Why is it that most days, people nit-pick the story and artwork to pieces. Today, the atmosphere is cordial, Congrats, guys! Is it because of female supervision?

once again, disappointment reigns for me. possibly one of the MOST misunderstood tracy rogues goes off itno that long goodnight with not a bang, but a whimper. with luck he wont be dead merely in a drug induced coma, but i vaguely recall mike saying something MONTHS ago about a “grim, dark story around halloween” so i am laying odds that my ultimate all-time favorite tracy villain is no longer of this world rest in peace measles, hopefully you’ll find the comfort in death that eluded you so in life. sigh if i were one for tattoos, iw ould more thanlikely get a shot measles’ face put on my arm somewhere, alas, such is not the case. i will have to suffice with the internet printouts and printouts of the recent tracy strips here to remind me of measles enog.

I’m thinking tomorrow will save Measle’s life somehow or other. I’m not like tsull, though. Measels didn’t arouse my interest like MM does. Maybe Team Tracy will feature MM working incognito in one of those places where she swings around a brass pole.

I’m impressed on how Team Tracy picks up ona plot thread from 60 years ago and brings it back to life and puts their spin on it. Gould probably thought of Measles as a one-shot, but in Team Tracy’s hands, they have provided us a very satisfying sequel. And if Measles is gone, so what? As far as baddies go, like Gould said “I just create more.”
