…more like two forces and a car full of bumbling idiots…..I mean, Mumbles & company are totally out of their league here…..the only thing they have going for them is that they’re regulars whom I doubt Mike wants to kill off, lol.
Somebody’s out there? —In that rainstorm?! Méliès and the Munro Brothers would have been wiser to remain in their vehicle until the moment for action. I still see a major, three-sided shootout coming, with Consortium vs. Apparatus vs. MCU. And there may well be collateral damage to more or less innocent bystanders….
…….well, if they’re not out of their league, why has Dick Tracy beaten them EVERY SINGLE TIME then? Sure, they kill….but mostly unsuspecting innocent people….not a highly organized and intelligent criminal ring like the one they are meeting here….and already has the jump on them because they are aware of BB & company’s involvement, but the former unawares of them.
By the way, BB Eyes, things are not just now “getting complicated,” things have been getting complicated for a long time now — it’s just that you didn’t notice it till now!
“what the heck type of car is that?”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The “type” is a four-door sedan. As to what ‘brand’ it is, it looks a lot like my old ‘85 Ford Crown Vic drawn badly to protect the artists from Lawsuits Galore, (uno whos’ brother)
I can’t believe how good the art has become in this strip. So great I sometimes take it for granted. Every day is a feast. The story keeps me on the edge of my seat too. Love Dick Tracy.
Presumably when this story line gets to the good stuff we will receive the same sort of complaints we got at the end of the Mr. Crime story, namely that the strip is too violent to be on the comics page.
Great ideas and guesses on the car everyone. Personally I thought Mumbles, Doubleup and B.B Eyes might be riding in style in an old Chrysler K car from the 1980s, lol.
Also It just occured to me that with the heavy rain storm and the windows rolled up with B.B. Eyes puffing non-stop on a stogie has probably pushed Mumbles and Doubleup even deeper into a foul mood.
…..naw, more than Dick is unexpendable….Honeymoon isn’t going anywhere, nor Junior. Am guessing either Sparkle or Moon Maid might be a casualty, simply because it can’t go on like this, and it’s not like the latter can go back to the moon now. Hmmmm…though getting rid of Junior would also solve that problem, wouldn’t it, lol? Anyways, we all pretty much can count on (good)BY Pressure soon, right? This strip is really rockin’ right now!

I doubt that storm is going to put those three in a good mood….and Doubleup already looks like he’s itching to take a mad out on somebody.
BB Eyes is more prophetic than he knows…..things are getting REAL complicated.

I’d say it was doing okay… they are driving on the grass after and during a huge storm… most cars would have sank to the door handles in the mud.

The car looks more like the crap coloured car from the movie Fargo – some kind of over-sized GM heap of junk.

Good morning all…
Car has a lot of headroom! Possibly an old Staton-Curtis Super DeLuxe!

Maybe Joe should start asking Chip Foose to draw the cars for the strip. (grin)

Looks like a Chrysler product from about 57-59

I think the car is an ’86 DeSoto with Airlift suspension. Or an ’82 Kasier-Roll with Disbelief suspension. (They look a lot alike in the dark.)

I love what Joe and Mike have done with this strip! I had given up on ever enjoying it again, and recently rediscovered it!
