Bulletproof and she doesn’t really care if she drives past the police in broad daylight. (The blue background added by GoComics looks more like night than “broad daylight.”)

Whitney Ellsworth was … if memory serves … an editor for DC Comics, and I think story editor of “The Adventures of Superman” TV series, after Bob Maxwell’s first season.

Donenfeld was associated with DC as well, the publisher, I think.

It’s late, and my memory is hazy …

Shoot the sidewall on that giant tire, guys !-——————————It’s hard to hit a moving target, even a big one, especially when it’s something from a monster truck rally.

Great suggestion Gweedo, they should shoot the tire.

Shooting at a moving vehicle on city streets? I’m sure it’s all good in Tracyville, but in real-life America, are police allowed to do that anymore?

Night or day the roll lights are on bright. Shooting at a moving target on a city is dangerous and stupid, especially one moving at driving speeds.

Well this is exciting – I hope they don’t cut away from this tomorrow :P

So what did Dethany tell us that will be useful to Sam and Lizz? That Rikki has a knack for engineering, and that allowed her to design the Vampire Mechanique?

Those itty-bitty front tires belong on a drag strip….. not a monster truck.

Are police roadblocks or SWAT-type equipment unknown in the Tracyverse? Two cops with handguns are their best response?

Comics Kingdom has the “daylight” part of the coloring rather greyish, also, and the Vampire Mechanique’s running lights on; the orangey coloring of the vampire car there makes it look more like a farm implement, though. But my concern is that two veteran detectives with the elite MCU should choose to run out into the street with only their pistols to take on the speeding, bulletproofed vampire car! What, no body armor? No long guns? Just sidearms? Don’t they perceive that they could even be the targets of Rikki’s rogue vehicle?!

If Tribune got Joe Staton or another artist to draw blueprints for this car, Dick Tracy, and other characters that we could buy for like $1.99 each, (similar to an ebook) that we could print, cut, and fold to have 3-D versions of the Dick Tracy universe that would be awesome.

I forgot to mention, I recommended Funko, because they made a Dick Tracy Retired Wacky Wobbler (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H82DP0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AJF0HB30PBJAV) and they have been really nice to me.

Along with his partner Jack Liebowitz, Harry Donnenfield owned Independent News Company, which became National Allied Publications which became National Periodical Publications which eventually became DC Comics. In a sublime bit of irony, Donenfield hated Superman and ordered that the character never appear on the cover of Action Comics again. Then the money started rolling in and he changed his mind. That’s why Superman isn’t on the cover of Action Comics 2-6.

The intrinsic problem with any type of hero/villain vehicle in the 21st Century is that it should be a simple matter to track back to its lair/garage/holding area.

They do sort of stick out on the roads.

Funny that I’m only just now thinking of this … but …

Are the Dailies and Sundays currently running two parallel but related stories?

    Daily: “The Vampire Mechanique.”

    Sunday: “Abner Kadaver’s European Gambit.”
