Tracy would hurt his wife if she didn’t know about an affair? I’m a little confused by that last line of dialogue.

You will regret this, Tracy! I will not take no for an answer.

She must not breathe, her bodice is super tight on her chest.

Tracy would know is the point to her question. And that won’t pass go.

If you had the opportunity to cheat; and no one would ever find out, would you? Good question in Morals and Ethics, and Tracy passes with flying Colors. The Spirit on the other hand, was always something of a ladykiller. (Pun intended)

If someone claims your loved one won’t know if you cheat, don’t trust them. Hidden cameras are a thing, especially in the Tracyverse.

Doubleup would know, too. Blackmail.

Interesting how “immortal” and “Immoral” are so close in spelling. Yesterday, when she mentioned that Tracy probably wouldn’t do well as an “immortal” and then in the next breath invited him to something very “immoral”! It was easy to misread that. Anyway, I’m so glad Tracy walked away.

“What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her”? That thinking is so wrong. It would hurt her, even if she never found out. I think Tracy means “but I would know”, but he would be equally true if he meant “But I would be hurting her if I did it”.

Looks like immortality also robs one of the understanding of what true love is all about.

I can bet that the first time she met Mr. Am, of the “five times” he recalls, she was first solicitous then wanted to find out how he is so old and unscathed unlike her for far less time. I would expect him to eventually laughed at her for her juvenile wishes and thinking. He is wise and old——-far older than any being to exist on this planet.

Tracy is a good man. But a woman scorned—especially a woman like Perenelle—is still dangerous, full of fury and all that elixir.

Maybe her own words, about how Nicolas lost his undying life, will come back to bite her….
