That’s a mini-version of giant Superman’s Silver Age Fortress of Solitude key! http://www.sixokay.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/giantkey.jpg

That key reminds me of Superman’s key to the Fortress of Solitude, which in this case is about to be raided !

Back in the 1930’s Doc Savage’s arctic hideaway was called The Fortress of Solitude. Just one of the things Superman borrowed from Doc (along with his first name of Clark).

Look at that last panel. Am’s hands are massive. How could Tracy or Spirit have looked at the corpse and not said, “Yikes! She’s been strangled by the Great Am – or the Incredible Hulk! And since we aren’t approved for a crossover with Marvel, it has to be the Great Am!”

(Actually, his hands are so big, he probably couldn’t fit all four fingers around her neck. And wouldn’t need both hands. The M.E. would have to have noticed that.)

@ NEILWICK (yesterday) Yes, even BC recently got that ‘move over’ law, which is totally useless in heavy traffic, where you can’t see the emergency vehicle until you’re upon it, due to the semi in front of you.

And Gweedo, obviously I meant to type “stopped”. But “sopped” was funnier……

The Great Am does not flinch

To trust in Tracy is a cinch

He hands the key to room secure

To know the truth he must be sure.

Just asking… shouldn’t there be a secret passage connecting Am’s suite to the secret room directly below? If Double Am has to go out of the room, take the elevator (or stairs), and go to the suite, sooner or later someone will notice this and discover the well kept secret.

Maybe we’ll find out why the constant focus on the floor numbers above the elevator.

Why doesn’t Am just call his servant and tell him to come upstairs?

This is now not Gray’s Am, who was pretty much “God:” omniscient, with powers even greater than Punjab. He had no need of assistants.

I’ve enjoyed this story arc so far, but this is a bit of a flaw. But, then I’m and old geezer who remembers Gray’s “Little Orphan Annie.”

Again I have to ask: Did DC Comics give Tribune Media the “green light” (permission) for this?

That one might just be the fake AM.

Like others, notably Franklin Budd Siegle, I am puzzled at Am’s bewilderment. The Great Am would surely have known if a “trusted servant for many years” were to go off the rails. I guess I’m an old fogy, too, though not old enough to have been reading Little Orphan Annie in the 1930s!

In other places: I guess now we’re getting some clarification of the Hotel Siam private suite arrangement, with normal elevator service only to the 28th floor and Am’s private penthouse on the 30th. It seems the intervening 29th was reserved for Am’s double (I still find that it doesn’t compute for me that he needs one, or could find one, since there is not that large a pool to choose from of bearded eight-foot-tall 400-pounders), and perhaps for other, unknown, service functions as well.

If the Evil Twin Am is at all suspicious, both Tracy and the Spirit could be in for quite a workout!
