Oh yes! the moment when her beautiful eyes met mine

A Titanic sized collision seeming frozen for all time

The softness of her voice and the pleading of her heart

Arose a dormant desire to contemplate a brand new start

There’s more to life than money or the need the piper to pay

Perhaps the wisest choice would be to turn and walk away

Justice can wait to be served there’s more pressing needs at hand

Predictable? I don’t think anybody predicted that it’d be Sparkle who seizes the initiative in this meeting.

So, I see that Tracy has talked to Sparkle about Blackjack.

“T’Was Beauty Bargained with the Beast.”

A weapon once so dangerous

Now pointed at the ground

Blackjack’s manhood wilted

So go check the lost and found.

Sparkle so inquisitive

“What more can I do?”

Blackjack has tea set

He would love to show to you.

A robbery in progress

The sirens start to wail

Blackjack does not hear them

His brain it has set sail.

Leaving port, so wave so long

Careful plans to rob the bank

BLACKJACK: Well…. can you autograph my machine gun?

SPARKLE: (reaching into purse) "How about THIS instead creep!

(Takes out the axe she lobbed into Measles’ shoulder and whacks Blackjack across the skull)

SPARKLE (to a disoriented Blackjack): You’re just lucky my Mother isn’t here or SHE would throw some burning coals in your face!

MORAL OF THE STORY: Steer clear of crazy Plenty family! lol

Well that was a surpise, but also a great idea. Sparkle defusing the situation, and possibly being seeing as a hero. Good work! She’s been regulated as a pretty figure for too long.

I can’t decipher BJ’s comment in panel 2 – “I’m Tracy’s polar opposite” in response to Sparkle’s “Tracy says you only rob unpopular banks.” So what is he saying – Tracy robs popular banks? Tracy only patronizes unpopular banks?

Av, have you shown Fiddler a photo of Gweedo yet? I bet the second you do, he’ll raise up a hind leg and start scratching! I showed Gweedo’s pic to my dog, and he ran and drug back the bong.

I know from the recent storyline featuring him that there are a lot of Spirit fans who read Dick Tracy. They may new interested to know next week Dynamite Entertainment is launching a new series, “The Spirit meets the Green Hornet”

that’s “they may be interested”

& Dynamite for those who don’t know publishes comic books. It’s a comic book series.

As Blackjack is saying (panel 3), well, fancy that! Sparkle has defused the robbery, at least for the moment, while Chatty-Blackie contemplates what his next move should be under these new and unexpected but very welcome circumstances. How can I win Sparkle’s friendship while maintaining my professional integrity as Tracyville’s foremost bank robber and keeping my gang in line, Blackjack must be thinking. And what is Sparkle going to offer to keep the peace? Will she offer to let Blackjack take her to dinner and dancing to the recorded music of Chumbawamba?

Hey! What happened to the music? The clock is supposed to be ticking!

Meanwhile, in Central City – a copycat strikes! A bank with ties to Octopus is robbed by “Craps”, a criminal who has a fascination with The Spirit and his friends, who times his robberies to tune “American Pie” (he’s somewhat slower than Blackjack). Ellen Dolan is among the innocent bystanders at the bank…
