Inspector Ishida, apparently, knows something. Anyway, it seems that cemeteries are where the money is. At least that’s where Sawtooth’s taxi is going from the Minot trainyard.
Long time no speak, MCU auxiliary members. Get off your duffs and go meet THAT train !!!
Going east soon to meet Gayle (Vista Bill) Watterson who I was on text with yesterday. Said she will call this afternoon. I will be with Ed up at Cheyenne VA where he lives now and departing from there. I figure a meetup to happen in a week give or take. Bought an external mic for the camera to avoid the noisy washed out effect in the event we are in a busy area at the time.
Interesting story despite all the call outs to the contrary.
So it looks Sawtooth was picked up near the railroad tracks! I guess it could be that they also have passenger trains stop there – but wouldn’t they have altered the security people that would be at such a station? If not at a station, would Sawtooth has called for a cab using a disposable phone? Where would he say he was at?
Joe Staton appears to love having middle-aged men in these bit parts wearing those brushy moustaches. (I first noticed it when there was a guy at each of the bookie joints that Jimmy Choo Shooz was robbing.
Found Gweedo’s profile and mailed it. He is in Iowa and has yet to hear back from Mrs. Watterson. I gather that Vista Bill was some kind of big deal here as I had only seen a small number of his postings before he went silent.
I agree that the cabbie bears a striking Mario resemblance. I hope no copyright dispute is involved. The Mario people may not like the prospect of one of their own killed off, and that is something I can see happening and then Sawtooth driving away in the car.
All of today’s action takes place in motor vehicles!
“A motor vehicle? Gad; what have I been missing?” (—Mr. J. Thaddeus Toad, of Toad Hall.)
This is the kind of Sunday strip that, were it a movie, would employ a split-screen effect ( I envision a diagonally-split screen) to show simultaneity.
(And as an aside, I am left somewhat confused as to “who” our hidden friend is today. Monikers in the wind!)

Quite a shock. His world is rocked. Could Austin be a father?
Such a turn to just now learn. Why did not Christine bother
To share the news and get his views on raising their love child
A summer’s love fit like a glove. Their passion hot and wild.
A violent death. Her final breath was filled with smoke and soot
No blaze of glory. Sad sordid story. Must get to the root
Of her silence, her criminal violence, so unlike Christine
He finished school and was a fool. Her dark side not yet seen
On he walks for many blocks, thoughts settle like fine dust
Is she his child? Mercy mild. Meet with her he must.
Elsewhere, in Magic City, Sawtooth grabs a ride
To Hoagland Cemetery, a gruesome place to hide.

For what it’s worth, it is a bit unusual for Dick Tracy to be set in a real place, even if it is why not Minot!

Since Sawtooth has no money, I’m betting the driver won’t like his tip!

“Just wait until I get back, cabbie. I’ll double your tip for the trouble!” LOL

So anyone think that the Inspector knows someone connected to Sawtooth is buried at that cemetery? (Along with some cash nearby)

Perhaps the end is near for our jaggered villain in Minot and why not.

Minot, the magical city. It disappears in your car’s rearview mirror as you drive away….
