Still “Lawerence” with the extra “e,” so it seems like we’ve got to accept that that is indeed the correct spelling. It looks like we won’t gat many more opportunities to check it anyway.
Great rendering of the one with the shoe facing us. The entire repose looks quite realistic. I like how security guy makes the happy Good morning entrance.
Serves the doctors right for hiring their security from Paul Blart Associates. But then he never set out to work in security only he flunked the gendarmerie exam. Turns out he thought the academy would give him license to “cop” a feel! And that’s not even a real mustache—it’s a chocolate-icing-from-a-boston-creme-donut mustache!
Subpar hospital for sure! Patients shouldn’t be able to wander around like that, plus doors out of certain sections (which usually have one or two guards) should have locks requiring special passes… but you do what you need for a story line!
Nice to see security arrived bright and early in the morning!
LOL!
As I pointed out yesterday, it’s ludicrous to think that the facility doesn’t have around the clock security making regular checks considering it’s client base.
Gee, what does it look like happened, Mr. Cheerfully Clueless. And, what was the overnight shift of security doing when that “guest” had that “nice” discussion with the staff?
While we don’t know if either doctor is still breathing, panel two is quite evocative. The mess on the wall appears to come from the potted plant, as the art walks a tightrope. Reminds me of the slain Sunny Wheat executives, sans the cereal. More of the good stuff from Team Tracy.
Have been reading the comments here, and I personally think everyone is off-base figuring that Patient Zero is Haf-N-Haf. Based on Sunday’s strip I have never seen Haf-N-Haf with a death’s eye look. Am afraid to even think this, but we could be witnessing the return of Abner Kadaver here, and he is much more the psychotic. Shiver!
So note that there appears to be two doors: an outer door and an inner door. The security guard went cheerily through the outer door but now as he’s approaching the inner door he seeing something amiss.
If that is supposed to be the same door in panel one and panel two, the interior doorknob disappeared! If it is, as suggested earlier, two different rooms, why would the doctors’ offices have a door with no knob on the inside?
Lanier and Lawerence appear to be defunct, though we won’t know for sure until someone checks them out. Yo, cheery Security Dude: hint hint!
Is the Wertham Woods facility near enough to Tracyville for the MCU to be called in to investigate the escape of the multiple dissociative-disordered patient, who is a retconned Haf n’ Haf? Or must we wait for the Fugitive to make his way to the city and commit some further crime there before Tracy and his team are alerted? And what does/do the 3 Faces of Haf n’ Haf want, anyway?

Anyone here heard of a show on Oxygen called “Homicide For The Holidays?”

Given what has obviously happened in that office, does the guard seriously expect them to answer him?

I guess that’s 2 characters we won’t see again. Story is very interesting so far, and the artwork is excellent!

Then there is the total lack of security, except for day guy going around. The question is, where was the night security?

If its a prison, where are the state paid armed guards? If its a private prison, they would all be armed. With snipers in the towers

The more I look at the guard’s face the more he seems to just be another person, no real resemblance to anyone.
