The usual complaint. “Where are the cops when you need one?” As if we have cops on every corner, in every doorway, just waiting to catch a malefactor. If we did have cops on every corner, she’d be complaining about the police invading her privacy or “Big Brother”.
Thick as a brick! As always, acidic Wendy Wichel wants nothing (not even her own life!) more than to antagonize Dick Tracy. Maybe she has a Death Wish, maybe an inferiority complex, maybe a hyper-competitive drive? In any case, she’s not doing much to encourage Tracy and Lee to give a fig for her safety, except their sworn duty as cops “to protect and serve.”
