Joe looks waaay too much like Tracy for me to be comfortable with Bonnie dating him.
No Way Bonnie can arrange such a big event like having sports celebrities go to her class only. First of all she’d have to get approval from the school principal who would make this a school-wide event.
Why does she have a beach chair in her classroom and what does she have her feet on?
If I was Joe I’d be ticked off that she couldn’t schedule her meeting for another time.
of course, maaaaybe he DOESN’T plan on killing HER…..I mean, think about it, she is “connected” to him pretty publicly now, obviously he’d have to figure she got permission from the school and excitedly told others….if she was murdered, he’d be suspect #1, front and center, and with no alibi!
It’s raining outside Joe’s window. I think that’s a sign that we are slowly heading towards the climax. Atmospheric effects are always good to make a climax more exciting.
From the age of the kids on the field trip and the look of Bonnie’s classroom, it doesn’t particularly look like she is involved as a gym teacher even though she was mad after reading one of his columns. She obviously is just a person who likes sports, but BarTar doesn’t know that so is Bonnie his “type” or is he going against type?
Apparently the connection to sports is because BarTar is a sportswriter. This all confuses me a bit about BarTar. He obviously goes for men and women. It seems (and according to Sampson) that he goes after those who have criticized his column but also goes for young teachers (even though he doesn’t know if they have criticized him or not).
Several of the victims mentioned seemed to be gym teachers or coaches. Right now, I am unable to see the connection between male critics and young female teachers (who are apparently his type). Were the male victims his type as well? Did he charm them into private meetings?
Am I missing something or is there an inconsistency in his modus operandi? There seem to be two separate motivating factors to these crimes. That is why Rocks Tar seems so suspicious and facilitating of his brother. Perhaps his brother does the same for him.
Alt Script: 1- SMIRKFACE: Hello, Ellie Mae? This is Smirkface from the Smirkface Talent Agency. I hear that you’re to be featured on the cover of an upcoming Glamorous Glamour magazine. Don’t agree to anything without me being there baby! You need representation and I’m the best!. 2- ELLIE MAE: That’s mighty nice of you Mr. Smirkface but you shouldn’t be a botherin’ me at school. It’s lucky you got me at recess. The other kids are outside but my dogs were barkin’ so I’m still inside just a lookin’ out the winder. Hmmm, I think it’s a winder…shore is a purdy day out if it is.
This started out like an exciting police procedural and now has gone totally off-track. How many serial killers make dates with potential victims under circumstances that those victims will tell others about?
“Miss Tracy” must teach at a pretty casual school, as she is dressed in jeans and a lightweight pullover sweater, sitting in a rather fancy-looking office chair in her classroom, with her feet up on a (?) student’s desk. As she breaks her date with Joe for the business meeting/dinner with Bar Tar she does feed him some interesting information. Is neither of these two enough of a detective/detective’s daughter to connect the dots? Does neither read The Daily daily? Or do they skip over anything by or involving Wendy Wichel? C’mon, you two; catch on to what’s going down here!

Good morning™, dinner date cancellers!
Joe isn’t making much headway and Barnabas didn’t need Bonnie’s home number to set up his schmooze-fest with her.

Good morning™, disappointed date partners !
I hope Joe’s antenna goes way up with this news. Bonnie doesn’t know it but she needs a tail on this outing.

Will Joe turn out to be a douche or is it the way he looks in the panel?

Joe calls to confirm their date so she tells him about the change of plans. When was she planning on letting the poor guy know if he hadn’t called?
