I found this very interesting article about a similar case where a rich socialite got involved with buying a baby through a baby broker like in this story. There are rich people desperate to have a baby and there are mothers desperate for money and willing to give up their own baby that they didn’t want, anyway.

The only thing different very about this article from The Post is that it involved surrogates to “supply” the babies.

I do dislike that term “real parents”. In my view it’s the ones who bring you up who are really your parents.

Back in the day, your could always tell a Gould villain by his or her looks. I’m wondering whether this Detective Frisk is on the up-and-up.

Is Detective Frisk a “Howell” baby, too?

I’m getting the idea that Detective Frisk has “real reasons” of their own for doing this, and they’re not necessarily good ones. Perhaps I’m meant to, and Frisk’s reasons are honorable, but it’s sure being set up to make Frisk look fishy.

After my parents died, two of my aunts separately told me that my brother had been adopted – to this day it makes no difference to me, although it does help to explain some behavioral differences between us…

Is it just ME, or does Frisk bear a striking resemblance to Mariska Hargitay/Olivia Benson from SVU?!?!

Another adoptive parent here – Biological or Birth parents is correct. “Adopting” a pet is the term that makes me see red!

Well, it seems that Det. Frisk did not return to the force after falling into a garbage scow. I wonder if she ran into BB-Eyes amongst that garbage and both decided to play dead for a while? The explanation for BB was that he had a concealed oxygen tank in an old tire. I wonder how Friskie survived? Only one shoe was found.

Detective Frisk? She apparently is operating now as an independent PI, no longer on the Force. We may never learn just how this change came about, but it seems as though what I shall now refer to as “the Howell babies case” will proceed, eventually bringing very tough, hard-looking Detective Frisk and MCU Chief of Detectives Tracy back into contact. What side will she be on by that time? Certainly, anti-Howell, but within the Law?

By contrast, Ms. Astin, though potentially interesting enough on her own, now is seeming more like a plot device to introduce the main storyline rather than being a major player in the story as it goes forward….
