I guess Mike must really like the “Our Town” play, but this business of using up whole days’ worth of strips to show the characters acting in it is getting old. This is supposed to be the Dick Tracy comic strip, not a literary class. I get that the dialog here is probably foreshadowing, which would be clever if we hadn’t already seen multiple other days used up with the characters reciting dialog from the play.
1-GAL: I don’t feel so good. I think I’m gonna be…
2-…UURRRPPPPP!
SUGAR DADDY: Good lord! What scene is this? I don’t remember this scene! I’ll wing it!
“Umm, Shakespear once said that ‘death is a vile thing that can wrest our very essence from the pits of our being and splash it in a stinky mess all over my shoes’…”
Damn, we should be glad though that the “storytellers” just didn’t recently read War and Peace. In a long list of bad stories, this may have jumped to the top.
This device of intercutting “foreshadowing” excerpts from Vitamin’s production of Our Town is weighing down the arc. Maybe we could do with less foreshadowing and more direct narration of what is actually supposed to be happening….
For the second time in a row, a story line is basically taking place behind the scenes & on the stage during a production of Our Town. This strip is definitely in a narrative rut.

Good morning™, mourners!
The burial scene. Now we are really getting close to the ending of the play.

Good morning™, deadly serious play actors !
If I didn’t know this was a play I would think that woman got dosed with poison or hit by a dart.

I realise life every minute, every second. Life is all about eat, sleep, a walk in the woods, and repeat!

We’ve seen this exact same strip in various forms throughout the years. Show some originality instead of aged ham!
Although I must admit that the possibility, slim as it must be that sugar mommy KK bites the dust is a reason to tune in tomorrow!
Perhaps I’m being too harsh on the boys.

Did they give Vitamin a Hebrew copy of the script? The way his copy is bound it opens from right to left.

Curious where this is going. Did she collapse? Is it part of the play?

Where is the line between a quote and a crutch?
Is this just a way to get out of writing a new strip for the day?

Sweet Jesus are we gonna have to sit thru the ENTIRE play?
Mike needs to see someone about getting medication for his rampant A.D.D.
