So, the girls made the right move. Good for them. This way, it’s Tracy who will be meeting with Stokes and the girls will merely accompany him. That should keep them safer. Who was it that was talking about a chaperone?

Thank goodness Tracy will be there when the girls question the professor.

The girls are using protection, like smart girls should.

At least give them a talking dog before you send them in there!

This is asking us to believe that Dick Tracy either doesn’t know that Stokes is the bad guy – or worse – has already eliminated him. Frankly, the circumstances: “Vampire” death combined with someone obsessed with vampires, my thought is, what is Tracy doing sending his granddaughter into this mess?

This is officially over-the-top ridiculous.

Ah, good. A level of safety. Level-headed girls, these.

Smart move also by Dick. He knows the girls would likely not accept a “Don’t investigate this” order, so he gets alongside them instead.

Into the cave of the Vampire they go!!!

Intrepid reporters don’t need chaperones. They need boyfriends who are super powered aliens, or a watch that summons the same…

Even if there is no particular reason to suspect Stokes at the moment I’m still wondering about the professionalism of the police department having a “Take Your Granddaughter to Work” Day. I mean, a call of “Shooting in progress!” would sort of ruin your afternoon if you have to find a babysitter before you can respond.

Smart moves both by the girls and by Tracy. His presence with the girls at their interview with Stokes should forestall any villainy the wicked professor may otherwise have intended. This is good professional reinforcement for Annie (who looks particularly pleased) and Honeymoon (who has always been close to her Pop Pop), as well as protection for them.
