The three “founder’s” portraits are taken directly from Jim Doherty’s “Tracy’s Hall of Creators” panels on successive Sundays during the 2011 80th anniversary of the strip. They are:
Chester Gould, the real founder of the strip, who drew it from 1931-1977
Rick Fletcher who assisted Gould from 1961 and became the lead artist from 1977 until his sudden death in 1983
Dick Locher, who assisted Gould from 1958-1961 and became lead artist form 1983 until 2011 (although Jim Brozman was the main artist from 2009 to 2011)
Someone recognizes Blackjack, even with the disguise, and apparently appreciates the display.
