I guess it’s just me, but most of the time I don’t find this strip funny at all. Then there are the times like this one when I don’t even understand the strip. Add to the fact her artwork looks like an eighth grader’s and I’m completely astonished this strip is published. But I still read it occasionally searching for an epiphany.

I happen 2 find it very funny & it’s 1 of the first ones I read. To me, it’s the outlook of retired couples on life where they no longer have any major worries & find humor & joy in the most trivial things. The characters are real & sarcastic. It’s a light-hearted & a feelgood strip.

This comic stip is simply one of the funniest out there. It is funny on so many levels.

It is poking fun at 60% of Americans. Maybe it isn’t funny to you for the simple reason that you just might be one of the people it is poking fun at.

In that case, what they do from strip to strip might just be what you and your neighbors think is normal.

I think the funniest part is how completely clueless this couple (and their friends) are.

Exactly. The setting for the strip is central IL. The Pennys and their friends are totally clueless, not to mention cheap, er, thrifty. The only cast members who see things as they really are, are the daughter, Patty, and the grandson, Timmy.
