The sales guy at “Just Trees” is named Lief! And Grog, I think you’re right about the frog. There’s probably one at Spot the Frog, too. Has Julie outsourced the Find-It?

Me thinks that bandana is too tight around Burl’s head.

Without the magnifier it’s hard to tell, but I think that Burl got exactly what he paid for. I’m surprised that Joy didn’t manage to get a bag of mulch into her purse!

I really miss the magnifier, and all I get from GoComics is the runaround… Very annoying.

The frog is in the gravel by the birdbath. It’s a bit misshapen.

Marg — I’ve looked at that thing every which way from…. well… today… and I still can’t decide whether it’s a frog. But I guess I’d go with that too, since the only other choice seems to be that it’s in another comic. :)Oh, and I did give some thought to the bit of green leafery above Joy’s head in panel 1, wondering if the frog were nesting in her hair. But nah.

It doesn’t look like a frog to me, but if you say so, Marg…..:-)

If that’s a Locust tree, that thing will be huge before you know it!If ya’ all are talking about that blue thing, it looks like a squirrel to me.

The frog is actually the white thing by the tree that looks like a rabbit. To make the page larger in Firefox, use control + simultaneously (and don’t use the shift key to get +). Smaller, use control -. To restore original, control 0. On a Mac, probably use the command key.

Oh oh oh! I finally see it! If you look at the blue-green froggy thing in just the right way… there are two round things on top that are mostly black, but the left one has a curved green part on the left.

Those are frog eyes, like muppet eyes, on top of its pointy face. Its

Its front legs are below that and it has round “haunches” in the rear, so it’s sitting like a rabbit or a puppy.

“smaller than in the store” ? Perhaps because Burl originally saw it on a shelf. Trees grow and that will displease them too. Being practical (unlike this strip), I’d choose an Italian cypress-sure they would not spring for that, however!
