@Leaky — OMG! I’m sittin’ here DYIN’! That’s too funny! And, unfortunately, all too necessary for Joy, Verl and Marlene! Prolly wouldn’t do Ma any harm, either… GAH! Too gross to think about! ROFL!
Poor Verl has suffered a downgrade from “love” to “like.” (Or is it an upgrade from last year, when it likely said, “I tolerate you?”Here’s a thought on “Love is never letting go, etc.” If Joy’s belief is that she cannot leave Burl, then perhaps she will assist his early and happy death by never saying “no” to his requests for brownies—home made no less—or Ho Hos.
I cannot tell if Burl is congratulating Jerry for putting one over on Verl or if he is chiding him. Really? Burl chide? Admiration it is.Happy Valentine’s Day to all my friends at Crustwood Arms. This includes you Leaky.
Happy Valentines to all of you and Happy statehood Day to my State of AZ! I’m sure there will be much going on today, and I may do a grocery run to my Sprouts store and roast a turkey breast. Maybe I’ll play that link later (it did not work now, and just as well – any noise will wake Fitzroy).
OK. Here’s an IF/THEN question for all.IF the current epidemic of diabetes can be traced to the movie “Love Story” and specifically to the line, “Love means never having to say you’re sorry,”THEN what scourge or plague and movie will be associated with the plaque on the wall? Will it be “Misery” or perhaps “The Shining?”Thoughts?
Marg — it’s always been just alt 3 for me, and still is. I don’t know many 4-digit codes; they’re actually newer. They supposedly work in systems that won’t show the old 3-digit ones — but so far not for me.
Hmmm…. there should be an HTML code too, but it’s not &heart; or &hrt;
And of course there’s always character map.
Dazz — though I’m a baby boomer, my mother was only 2 years younger than your Dad. She’d be 98 in June.
But my Dad was 3 years younger, so she lied about her age for many years.
I finally saw Leaky’s link (must have been heavy traffic) and I hope to forget it before bedtime (with some Cheers and Bewitched up on bedroom TV). I don’t want to imagine that from a machine, tho we have played that game personally. Too funny (and not SO far from what I imagined -just different!
@Susan, Mom was born in 1913 (closer to your mom, but they were married in 1935 and did not have me until 37, and my brother in 40 who was always their favorite, so very spoiled.

I think the sign is for Verl — maybe she thinks she can’t do any better than Jerry, or maybe she actually thinks she loves him….
but how much does she really have to take from him?
There’s a knife hanging right by her hand, Jerry.
It’s always the quiet ones, you know.
Leaky, those things don’t have enough battery power for that job.
Eww I can’t think about it…..
Aloha GymShoe, and thanks….. hugs back to YOU…. and do you like Joy’s new blouse?

To Jerry: A person who is about to be dumped by his LIKE interest says – WHAT?
Nah, she’ll never dump him, she is used to being demeaned.
