Right on, Pacopuddy. They’re out looking for bears whilst smelling of chocolate. (As they always do.) I think the ranger wants to give them some bacon and send them back out to find more bears! He’s just considering the paperwork that would generate. He should get some sort of commendation but I agree with you, not even a bear will touch ’em. Maybe a hyena.
One of the oddest sights I have ever seen when camping was a squirrel sitting on a tree limb eating a KFC chicken leg. It would have been stranger if it had been extra crispy.
