Bless your heart Joy, everybody already knows you’re cheap. They’ll just be glad you didn’t re-gift them or pick up something at the dollar store of a garage sale. Or wrap up something that Burl either found or liberated down at the U-Stor-it.@toenails: Here in the South, there’s always a useless room with useless stuff in it that nobody ever uses. Supposedly it is for when the Pastor/Minister comes to visit. Do you remember the old joke about the (dumb) blonde who went to buy a sexual couch because her decorator told her she needed one for an occasional piece in the living room?
Toenails…. maybe it’s a giant case of the Dixie Chinette. That’s what they sell best in Crustwood.
Also, I finally recognised your avatar…I knew I’d seen it but the familiar part is cropped off…
Your mentioning our avatars jogged my memory…I realised who you must think drew mine…Actually not the artist of yours but her father…
Lotta people think that but it wasn’t him.It was done by Rodd Perry, who until January was the artist of Brevity. He very kindly did it just for me, cos I’m such a big fan.An honor!
Marshal Fields used to do a great job of gift wrapping… But not for free……...Now days.. people use more decor bags with tissue for color.. Faster / easier than wrapping…. ! ? ! .PENNYs no doubt have a stack of these bags ready for reuse…… If not.. I have probably 20.. I could sell them……
Finale celebrating the Blue Moon (I did the sme in my own way ;-D). Great to hear from all our Crustwoodians.I found a song that I was thinking of (from my first year of HS- 1951) http://tinyurl.com/8dxh2zv

Hoof — and Lummox for lummoxes.
My method is to buy the genuine article only for someone who would recognise it.
So you don’t give good crystal to someone who looks at the price tag to distinguish it from Dollar Store glass.
Or $30 wine to someone who just loves Two-Buck Chuck.

Aw, they really like the recipient so she’ll have the store mark it up to $250 on the tag.
