Love Ma with the tags still on her outfit. Maybe she’ll return it and glasses after a few more wearings.

She can’t wash the top, because the tags would fall off.

And Joy, she wasn’t accusing you of anything, but now that you’ve opened your mouth…

There’s actually somewhat of a background in this one. I agree with whomever it was who said the ones with the backgrounds are more visually appealing.

When I was in high school we had a neighbor who never took off the tags until she wore something…and any hidden ones were still left on.

Her living room lampshades were still “bandaged” in the long strips of clear plastic they used to use… the cushions had plastic covers… the original tags taped inside or on the bottom.

She’d buy almost everything at our local department store (remember those?) and return many items YEARS later …She’d drag my mortified mother along…and try to get her to second the stories: “Why, I bought that blouse just last week! You remember, don’t you?”

Maybe that memory Is one reason I hate returning anything.

Why yes, my dear, I AM accusing you of wearing this blouse. See the underarm stains? Can you smell it?You may have forgotten me but I will never forget you. I have been a sales clerk for years and you have been doing this as long as I have been working. Any questions? If so, direct them to the security person over there.

Evidently this sort of thing is fairly common in retail and I’m SHOCKED, SHOCKED to hear of it. I have heard of wimmens that will buy a high-end gown for a party, wear it, then return it the next day. There’s a reserved spot in hell for people like that.

Years ago I watched a show (news?) about how to wear clothes for parties then return them. Tuck the tags. The shoes she sprayed with something to keep the soles from scuffing. I still think it is dishonest. But it takes all kinds.I don’t like returning if I buy it a gift I might if it doesn’t fit or I just don’t like it.

“List of what you ate”….that could be quite long..This is why the #1 rule of Front Line Management as well as Public Contact Professional is:“RESIST THE URGE TO CHOKE PEOPLE”!!!

@DunestriderYep, I got burned on a portable hard drive like that. Bought a Terrabyte and got home with a 400 g. I WAS able to return and exchange it, but it took a while.

Is the security person eyeing Ma with her hanging tags?

I hate returning things but bought some vitamins on sale last week because I wanted another bottle of Mega Red Crill oil; bought 2 because this one was on sale, and I didn’t read the lable. I thought they only had that single product. This is something totally different and I ONLY wanted the Omega3, so I’ll probably return it today and get the one I wanted. I never return clothes; that’s what fitting rooms are for.

I have always thought of the Pennys like those neighbors who kept thick plastic on their LR furniture (and lamps as mentioned by Susan) and had all tacky mass-produced statues and paintings for decor. Everything I display was crafted by me or purchased from artists at craft fairs (except furniture- a whole other story). I have great taste but accomodate my budget ;-D

And the nearest Sprouts still has no turkey breast so I have still not returned the other vitamins (or shipped my clothes to Skokie) because I combine my trips and don’t drive for less than 2 errands.

I’m new to this comic, and I think it’s great. However, I don’t understand the “find it” in each comic. Help.
