Hello!

Someone once said to me, “C as in sea.” It’s true. I suppose it worked after all. I remember nothing of the person nor the transaction. Not even the word.. just the c.

A bon vivant will always use: C as in Crustwood.

How sweet, Burl is calling about Joy’s knitting order while she checks the vac bag for dirt. Hint: She won’t find any there. Maybe she’s knitting a bra.

No finials today — and I can’t find the Find It. I’m sure once somebody points it out I’ll be kicking meself in the bum.

I see they are indulging in some artificially flavored saccharine with their coffee today….

They still use a ton of sugar…. but they enjoy that extra touch of faux Irish Creme and bitter chemicals.

Toenails….

If anybody here still doesn’t know what “ghoti” purportedly “spells”, after it’s been around for almost 150 years, it’s pretty much “game over.”

I have seen, likewise, the “word” Ghoughpteighbteau.

The star is on Verla’s left arm and quite blended into the pattern..Joy is talking about a messed up order for a knitting project; but Burl has an outdoor furniture catalogue in front of him? Maybe that’s the problem?

But where is the cake… the Ho Hos…. ? ? ?

I thought the find it was in the right corner of the wainscoting, but it was just a cobweb. Maybe Joy is going to knit a cover for the out door furniture? Very confusing, prob an old strip with new dialoge,

And on closer inspection: why does the wainscoting extend across the opening to the other room? Hmmmm

Aw, Toenails…. I’m sorry….I didn’t mean to sound so harsh….

It was 3am…. I was actually laughing about the 150 years people have had to read about that word….not at you for posting it.

Here…. to make it up to you:

You see, to paraphrase a fictionalised version of Lawrence….the trick, Toenails, isn’t knowing things, the trick is not minding having to seek them out.

Wow…. 2old you’re right…. why DOES that wainscoting cross the doorway?

(that sounds like an old riddle….“why, to get to the other side, of course.”)

And Finale is right too….even though at first I STILL couldn’t see it…finally I had to magnify the enlarged version another 300 times….

So this is for those who still can’t…. I tried to color it and also point it out……

@Leaky,I never read Brenda Starr, Annie or Dick Tracy. My taste has never run quite the same as other folks. I always liked DS because I looked for Julie to tie the logos of shirts, lists and other little things to the joke of the day.

Always thought of the “find it” as something for the kids (last time I played find it in a book was playing with my youngest grandson. I read a great many strips but only comment on a few regularly.

Seems like everyone got bug problems today.
