Yeah, it’s low in fat, nevermind the lard that it’s been fried in. Then again, compared to their fat heads and fat arses EVERYTHING is low fat. Sheeeeeesh.
BTW, does anyone know what that thing on the wall is supposed to be? I thought that was where the phone went, but that doesn’t look like a phone to me. And I can’t find the Find It, either. Maybe I’m just being dense today.
Remember at the height of the Adkins Diet when KFC was advertising their fried chicxken as a “health food?” Yeah, right. Although I must admit, I have really liked their original recipe since it first came out when I was in HS. Being a Catholic boy, it was one pleasure I didn’t have to confess! On another matter, why is she washing Burl’s skivvies and the seats in the car? This is obviously a severe case of TMI. And why does she want to remove the unwanted soap scum? Is there some that is wanted? How do you tell the difference?Leaky, I hope you sinus problem is better. Considering where we both live, I’m afraid they’re common. Although I don’t think anyone has ever died of a sinus headache, I do believe that lots of folks have wanted to.
Mikie and Susan …………sinuses are much better today. Thanks for asking.Hot coffee and a Jacuzzi seems to help. The pulsating jets on my neck and shoulders works wonders.
As for fried chicken that is one of my weaknesses. There is a family restaurant not far from me named Tessies that has the best fried chicken you ever put in your mouth. When I go there I always get an order of breasts (mikie keep your mind out the gutter)You get 3 breasts the size of turkey breasts that are scrumptious…………mmmmmmmmmm. ……way too many French fries and a delicious Italian salad. That and an ice cold root beer and I’m all set.
And Mikie you are so correct about the area we live in.The heat has been absolutely brutalThe heat index reaches 105-111 just about every day, and the humidity is horrendous. I’ll bet if I toss up a rock it would just stay in the air.I keep my house at 66% and will not venture out unless I absolutely have too.
They are giving their bad advice after all it’s better then no advice.. I was wondering about washing the car seats too… YUCK. Didn’t she rinse out Burls skivvies last month?I am not a big fan of KFC but I do like the crunchy fried skin on a good piece of fried chicken.. I don’t see any hoho’s or ding dongs on the table did they eat them first???
Could not find the + sign……..AND why is BURL smarting…. I doubt he knows anything about KFC nutrition….Looks like JOY has been editing her "TO DO " list instead of erasing it and starting anew…..
They are just the picture of good health – NOT! So why would we all not want to follow their nutritional advice? And it DOES appear that their own bodies are trying to tell them something –
Assuming that Burl sat in the driver’s seat, why is it necessary to wash the passenger seat as well? and only HIS skivvies? The to do list is rather difficult to decipher today. Whatever pond they were tubing in has scum from soap or the sea? that was so intense it left a coating? More questions than answers here and most answers require BB.
LOL – OK imnormal, I should have known that THEY had not gone tubing so my other reading was wrong, but my eyes were barely open out of bed. I’ve now already made comments over at my news station site and there is more fried chicken at the Tiki.
In spite of that, I really just don’t care that much for anything deep fried anymore (have not owned a fryer since moving here in 1998) and if I were to eat something fried it would be one of Susan’s Key Lime Donuts. Having made both fried and baked doughnuts many times in my youth, I still have a taste for those. And citrus zest is so good, I have baggies of it in my freezer (lemon, lime AND grapefruit). ;-D
If you were invited to my parents house for dinner you got KFC. It was so good, I liked the extra crunchy. Now, even if I could eat it (Celiac disease) I would feel too guilty! I made my own the other day with gluten-free panko crumbs and it was yummy. I do with Susan would adapt her donut recipe, her gluten-free cookies are to die for!
2Old… wow, thanks…..I’ll have to experiment with potato flour.
Of course, in a virtual environment, it’s easier to produce gluten-free baked goods than it would be in the real worl… um…. I mean, than it would be …. um…. away from the comics.
Pixels are remarkably free of gluten.
I can mix in any quantity of them, with no ill effects to anyone with allergies, celiac disease, weight issues, etc.

Looks like Julie’s simplification of a phone… see the curly handset cord hanging down behind Verl?
I think it’s off the hook.
I, too, Leaky, hope you’re OK….
and I can’t find any Find-It either.

Good Morning Everyone
Very erratic sleeping patterns here.
Now, down to business……….whats wrong with you good people? The “find it” was on a piece of fried chicken that Burl inhaled…er…scarfed down.

Dipping the chicken in their gravy cuts the fat. Their coleslaw also acts as a “cleanse”.

Chicken is good. But it is according to the way you cook it if it is lower in fat than fried.
