I’m beginning to think that Marlene and Dale are friends with Joy and Burl for the chance to say to them what we want to say to them. Today’s snarky remark is an indictment against Joy’s….er….girth, and Dale is letting Burl know how dumb he is (and homely)! I hope this is true, please let it be true…
Zip. Swoosh. Right by Burl and he never noticed.Found some more ways to serve RM oysters. Bullpaccio with lemon and capers, bull scaloppini with fava beans and a nice Chianti and a Texas favorite, bull-fries with mashed potatoes and cream gravy.
Joy needs to step on a good industrial scale.. Only 50#?? Try more than that.I didn’t know they made X5 clothes. Well at least they are in the right department. Most clothes are imported from somewhere, some made better than others some not so good..
I don’t see why it should bother Joy, as she is big boned, Folks with a sturdy frame naturally carry more weight. She also has a big mouth, so it takes larger bites to fill it. Then there is always the issue that the large frame creates a large abdominal cavity to fill. Considering everything, it seems that Joy is about as trim as she can be.
And my new son-in-law threatens to treat us all to haggis!
But I agree with Purple that Marlene and Dale are doing well to give good jabs to the Pennys – Dale even wants Burl to come stand beside him as he talks about how ugly HE is (hoping that Burl will notice that he and Marlene have lost weight lately (unlike our protagonists).

Marlene: ‘Meow.’ Dale: ‘Arf, arf.’ She’s catty, he’s a bloody cur, but, sad to say, I have to side with them against the Pennys.

This all could have gone in a different direction if Joy had same “Well Duh”

Right, Dale, change the subject, kinda-sorta, sorta-kinda-wise, before the REAL s**t hits the fan!! A ’lil shrewd if plug-ugly diplomacy needed here!!

And YES, I DO tend to be careless with my punctuation (that’s one way to recognize me).
