I can hold a half of a tub of Cool Whip on one tablespoon. Does it still have only 12 calories?

Oreos are now coming out with “THIN” cookies. According to Crustwood logic the sky’s the limit on their consumption.

The unfortunate reality is that Patty is now showing some of her Penny genes. Low carb candy (especially most low carb chocolates) ARE NOT a suitable substitute for a regular candy or candy bar for people trying to lose weight. If you look at the calorie content of virtually every “low carb” contrivance, it is virtually the same calorie level (if not more) than the “original” it is mimicking. Low carb items are designed for people with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes (especially the insulin resistant Type 2 folks) and for folks who for some reason are adopting the blood ketone elevating “Adkins Diet”. Most low carb candies/chocolates increase the amount of fat that they have, which keeps the calorie level hight. Actual weight loss requires the ingestion of fewer calories per day than are being used in a day. There are lots of ways to accomplish this, but low carb candy as a substitute for “original” candy is not one of them.

Now, on the rare occasions you can find snack items that are both low (or no) carb AND reduced (or no) fat….. THOSE items will end up being lower calorie and can be a potential help for those dieting.

So long as you’re so addicted to chocolate that you need the candy equivalent of methadone, you likely won’t lose any weight for long.
