I’ve always worn seat belts, when I was in college in the 70’s I use to get looks from the drivers when I’d get in and buckle up, then I came up with the perfect response, “I trust your driving, it’s the other guy I don’t trust.” That seemed to satisfy the drivers and they stopped glaring at me.
