We had a small dog who loved going for car rides. When her eyesight started failing, she would lay on the floor by the backseat. Must have bothered her only seeing a blur go by.
I can’t recall how many times I’ve pulled into the parking lot of a store a few minutes before they opened, and the lot was empty. And I would park not in the space closest to the door, but somewhere down the aisle a bit. And a couple of minutes later, in comes the second car in the parking lot. 500 spaces to choose from. And where do they park? Right next to me. And close enough to my car so that I can’t even open the door without it touching theirs. That’s one of many reasons why I left the mid-west decades ago. I’m glad to know it was not an anomaly, and that in fact that level of irritating was enough to be parodied in the above scenario. Ah, vindication……

Taco Bell on a bus and the smell of beans and lard lasting a while. Dream tour.

Burl and Joy had to pick seats by someone else so they have someone new to talk to. There’ll also be the after dinner fragrance from Taco Bell…

Doesn’t matter where they sit. The Taco Bell will kick in half way there.

The bus is all windows. They are just being themselves here. Ignorant.

For non-Chicagoans, the Cal Sag Channel (Calumet-Saganashkee Channel) is a heavily industrial waterway that smells like an open sewer.
