Happened to us once, many years back. We had a bag of sand we’d bought earlier, and the dog had tore it open , and spread all over back seat and floor. Somehow the sand allowed him to crawl almost under the front seat, out of the sunlight, and kept him somewhat cool.
Whenever I hear of these tragedies, of an animal or child looked in a hot car, I think of that time… For new and young drivers it can happen all too easy. It can’t be emphasized enough..
Crustwood must have been a government experiment – a city populated with totally brain deficient people. But Julie certainly has made me laugh over the years with the doings of her denizens.
And she’s not yet begun to dig in her purse for coupons, out of date and for similar but different products, and to find her checkbook and start twice because she changes her mind on how much cash she wants back. There will also be some issues with bagging that will have to be corrected. By that time, the dog will have learned how to hot wire the car and to drive and will have been home for a while.
Cad is delighted. He lives for these moments. With carefully chosen comments, he can escalate it into a major TikTok clip. He gets paid the same either way, and while they bicker, he can think about Mary Jane in Produce and zucchini. (Or about Luigi in the Deli and Italian salami. It’s not good to assume these days, even with that haircut.)

The woman in red needs to have her dog taken from her. Cars heat up so fast, even in winter, and that dog is in danger.

Only Ma could rationalize it and make it sound like a disaster…

How on earth does a pet owner leave their dog in a car with the windows rolled up??? Idiot. And Ma… you’re a moron.

It appears both are wearing heavy winter coats and scarves; the dog should be fine for an additional five minutes.

If it were anyone else but a Crustwoodian, I’d say Ma really came up with a good burn!
