My last dog, gone several years now, loved the ball fetch game. If you did not want to play, he would drop the ball inside a deep, basement window well or down an open concrete block wall. He would then bark incessantly until someone came and retrieved the ball. Later he taught himself to roll the ball down the stone stairs leading from the raised back yard to the lower back deck. He then chased and retrieved the ball again and again.
