Sometimes that’s all that matters… :)

Anddddd that’s all dogs have fur, but not all dogs can handle cold for lengthy periods.

The test is to place your hand on various areas of the animal and feel for warm areas (don’t get silly now). Some dogs have little to no hair on their bellies. Those areas lose heat easily in cold.

Think of what it would feel like to you walking around on a freezing morning with your pants down around your knees. Along with the embarrassment and difficulty in walking, you’d be COLD. Them too. Please be smart and aware pet owners.

Used to have a poodle that loved the snow. He wanted to stay out in as long as we would let him, even when he had snow/ice hanging from parts I would think no male would want snow/ice on.

I have a large dog that looks very much like Kenny. He loves being out in the snow and cold here in northern Maine, but if it is windy he prefers being inside.

…and longer legs.

you have to know your dog and use sense. My dogs enjoy the cold more than I do and slow down as soon as the temps hit mid 60s and the humidity rises. Other dogs thrive in that weather.

I must be the only reader of this strip who isn’t a “dog person”.
